The battery life of Weenat sensors is generally 2 to 3 years, depending on usage conditions.
When should a replacement be considered?
After this period, if your sensor:
- experiences transmission issues,
- or stops sending data altogether,
it is recommended to replace the batteries.
Before any intervention, we also recommend consulting this article, which details other checks to perform in case of transmission loss:

Where can I order new batteries?
You can order new batteries:
- from your usual distributor,
- or by contacting Weenat Support, who will be happy to assist you.
Can the remaining battery energy be measured?
No. The batteries used in Weenat sensors are not rechargeable and do not allow an accurate estimation of remaining energy.
In practice:
- they provide a stable voltage of around 3.6 V for most of their lifespan;
- then, at the end of life, the voltage drops suddenly below 3 V.
This drop is abrupt: it is possible to measure 3.6 V one day and have a battery fail just a few days later.
As a result, it is possible to identify which batteries in a batch are still working, but not how long they will continue to operate.
