How do I replace the humidity probe (Rotronic) on my sensor?

Over time, a “normal” drift may occur, making recalibration of the humidity probe necessary.

It is recommended to service your probes every year if you use an OAD, or every 2 years for other uses (probe maintenance is not covered by the warranty).

To organize the recalibration of a probe, please contact Weenat Support (or your distributor) to request a quotation and arrange the exchange of the probe for a recalibrated one (avoid leaving the sensor without a probe).
 

🔧 Required equipment

• One calibrated Rotronic probe (available from Weenat Support or your distributor)

• One 8 mm open-ended wrench

📝 Step-by-step guide

1. Weenat sends you a calibrated probe;

2. Unscrew the 3 nuts located above the mounting plate by a few turns using the wrench;
   
   
    

3. Turn the plate by one-tenth of a turn and remove it from the radiation shield cups;
   
   
    
4. Unscrew the probe;
   
   
   
   
    
5. Replace it with the new one;
   ⚠️ Make sure the gasket is correctly positioned under the plate !
   
   
    
6. Reinstall the plate and the probe onto the weather shield cups;
   
   
    

7. Tighten the 3 nuts;

8. Place the old probe in the envelope, attach the return label that was sent to you, and mail it back.
