On a Wheather Station, start by unscrewing the two screws located on the front of the case. This will make it easier to access the screws on the back of the case:
You will need the following equipment:
- A Pozidriv screwdriver or a drill with a Pozidriv bit
- A new battery (to be ordered from the Weenat support team or your distributor)
- A small clean and dry cloth
Follow these steps:
- Unscrew the 4 screws on the back of the case using a Pozidriv screwdriver or a drill with a Pozidriv bit
- Carefully remove the old battery. Be careful, do not pull on the wires! The battery is fixed to the board with a clip system.

- Insert the new battery by carefully clipping it into place.
- Before closing the case, make sure the seal is clean and properly in place to ensure your sensor is protected from moisture.
- Before screwing the case back together, check that the battery wires are not caught between the cover and the case, and that they are properly inside.
♻️ Do not throw the old battery in the regular trash. Please drop it off at a designated collection point. This helps protect the environment while complying with recycling regulations.
Your sensor's battery has now been replaced and is ready to begin a new season of data collection. 😊
